Monitoring Jobs Running bioinf.cs.vassar.edu

Many of the jobs we will run in this course may take hours to days to complete! Here is a procedure to track down your long-running job to monitor its progress:
Monitoring job progress

Finding iNquiry output files on bioinf.cs.vassar.edu

Once you have run an iNquiry job, you can locate the output files from your ssh login.

  1. cd /common/scratch/bp/tmp/username
  2. ls -l
  3. locate the directory whose date/time stamp corresponds to when you ran your job from iNquiry (the directory name will begin with an “A” and is followed by a string of digits, e.g., A78241188927695)
  4. cd into the correct directory and look for your job’s output file, which will end with a .txt or .html extension
