Hi, I have tried to get my default speech rate set to one which is faster than the Emacspeak default, but the customization doesn't seem to have any effect. I customized the variable outloud-default-speech-rate using Emacs Custom, and was met with the normal Emacspeak rate upon restarting the program. Is there any reason this might not have taken?
