Re: Emacspeak on Ubuntu 8.10: best way to go about it?

Hello Chris and Tim,

This is the error that I get when I go to the "say" directory and run ./say

:/home/david/Desktop/tmp/voxin-0.19/voxin-enu-0.19/say# ./say
Error eciSynthesize

I'm wondering if the voxin file has to be placed somewhere specific.
I just put it into a tmp folder under my Desktop.

The export ECIINI=/var/opt/IBM/ibmtts/cfg/eci.ini line that Tim
suggests already appears in my bash.bashrc

When I type
locate enu50.so

I get no response - I guess the file is missing.

Thanks,

David
