Re: Multiple Emacspeak sessions

Hi Jason,

Not quite true. Ultrasonix uses a simple, single-connection
daemon, which passes info to the synthesizer. You could call it a
server, but it only accepts one connection at a time. During my
tests with Ultrasonix, it wrestles with emacspeak for control of
the synth the same way 2 emacspeak sessions do.

Regards,

Brian.

Similar coordination issues
would arise from any attempt to make Emacspeak coexist peacefully with
other speech output applications such as UltraSonix, which at present
(based on my reading of the relevant documents on the Georgia Institute of
Technology web site) currently implements its own speech server.
