CMPU-235: Software Development Methodology

Project #2

Due: Apr. 14

We at Vassar College have solicited five software companies for bids in the creation of our Integrated Registration System (IRS), however after the initial round of review we are still unable to decide on a vendor. In fact, we are still somewhat unclear on what each vendor claims they will provide.

The members of the IRS reveiw team are fully versed in OO technology, as well as COTS, ORS, KAPS, SMERSH, CAD/CAM, OED, TCP, and GDD. Therefore we are requesting a second round from each company that fully details the design of their proposed system.

The design should include full class definitions in the form of interface files with fully documented methods. For each method, there should be a control flow diagram or a state transition diagram.

If you have not already done so, a high-level system state transition diagram should be provided. If there were notes on something you already did, you must address them in a new version.

You must provide a high-level dataflow model of your system as well. In particular, you must show how you will provide data persistence across uses of the system, and this must be reflected in your dataflow model.
