The Department of Computer Science at Vassar College invites applications for a one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2016-2017 academic year. A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is expected. Teaching responsibilities may include courses such as: Introductory Computer Science I and II, Foundations of Computer Science, Language Theory and Computation, and an advanced-level Special Topics course in the candidate’s area of expertise. Introductory courses are taught using Scheme and Java. The Ph.D. in Computer Science is required.
