the next big thing... Endurance Running Harness for Herbert October 2009 I have been a walker ever since I got my legs back as a teenager. Before that biking is how I covered distance. Well, I got my Novatel Wireless usb760 and my Verizonwireless broadband plan. I can report that the device works well but can't be set up entirely under linux. I can also report that VerizonWireless tech folks have much less than no clue about linux.

Using emacs with z80asm First off, I want to state I am not a lisp podgammer OK, now that that is out of the way, this is what I added to my .emacs when I started using z80asm to work with z80 assembly code. It adds ASM to the list of extensions that will put you into asm-mode for editing assembly code and defines the compile command the way I wanted it. If there is a better way to do these tasks please let me know.

VNC over inetd with gdm - number of session limitation There are a lot of pages about setting up vnc over inetd. I had been running such a setup for years with 10 - 20 simultaneous sessions being commonplace, but an upgrade of the server to ubuntu 9.4 broke my configuration. Eventually all but one problem had been worked out by poking around the changelogs, reading a few man pages and using the standard net searches.
