Dr Raman, all The patch has been cleaned up a few days ago and unfortunately a major bug has appeared, as pointed out by Lukas. This new patch fixes it: http://oralux.org/tmp/emacspeak/emacspeak-svn-4434-lsw.patch More details: using outloud, the viavoice package was not found if the LANG variable = "C". Some makefile were not updated with the new langswitch file. makefile.tcl83 has been added in the linux-espeak directory.
