Re: What ever happened to view-process-mode?

vkill.el, which is a `view kill' mode using ps was written in 1989.
It has not been maintained. Several years ago, I set it to list

    ps -ewo user,pid,ppid,pcpu,pmem,vsz,rss,stat,start_time,command --sort=pid

You can specify something different. You can mark and unmark
processes and send them signals. I use it all the time.

As of this morning, vkill works in Emacspeak; but it just lists USER,
PID, %CPU, %MEM, and so on. It is not friendly.

Tested with

    GNU Emacs 22.0.98.11 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.8.20)
                      of 2007-04-25 on benthic

If you want the source, I can post it.
