Hello list, Since upgrading to Ubuntu 7.10, the following error message is spoken: "specified program for new process is a directory" when initiating a search with ctrol-s, or moving to the next message in VM, or moving to the beginning of line with ctrl-a, and in several other disparate circumstances. Apparently this error message is spoken only, and the expected (non-error) message appears in the mini-buffer. I am using the Ubuntu packages, emacs-version giving: GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu) of 2007-08-29 on terranova, modified by Debian with emacspeak 24.0. Any help would be appreciated.
