Windows key not stopping speech?

Hi Zack,
On Emacspeak-25 `C-e s' will stop speech; I don't think Raman would
have changed this.

In any case, put this line in your ~/.emacs, and F4 will stop speech:
(global-set-key [f4] 'dtk-stop)

I don't know what the windows key is and so can't help you directly
solve your difficulty. But my suggestion should work even on your
laptop.
