Re: Emacspeak with Espeak on Ubuntu doesn't work

Out of curiousity, if portaudio is the culprate with espeak, can one
merely compile espeak now and leave portaudio out completely? I
thought espeak depended on it internally to even compile.  Can one
clarify? I might be interested in evaluating pulse again if things are
all that much better now.
