Re: strange make issues on mac osX snow leopard

Hi David, Tyler and others,

I managed to get emacspeak itself compiled using the 'quick
workaround' provided by David of doing:
touch lisp/shr-url.elc

Now I am trying to build the mac speech server following a howto I dug
up in the archives. It explains how to grab the sox headers, find the
pysox package etc, I have all this.
Now it says the pysox lib does not build cleanly at first, this is
true. It then provides the following modified build lines:

> llvm-gcc-4.2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -dynamic -g -Os -pipe -fno-common -fno-strict-aliasing -fwrapv -mno-fused-madd -DENABLE_DTRACE -DMACOSX -DNDEBUG -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wshorten-64-to-32 -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -Os -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -DENABLE_DTRACE -arch x86_64 -pipe -I/System/Library/Frameworks/ Python.framework/Versions/2.7/ include/python2.7 -c pysox/combiner.c -o build/temp.macosx-10.7-intel- 2.7/pysox/combiner.o

llvm-gcc-4.2 -Wl,-F. -bundle -undefined dynamic_lookup -Wl,-F. -arch
x86_64 build/temp.macosx-10.6-intel- 2.7/pysox/combiner.o -lsox -o
build/lib.macosx-10.7-intel-2. 7/pysox/combiner.so

I was not sure when the first line ended and the second began, so I
split at the second occurence of llvm-gcc*, as you can see.
The first line works without error. The second returns the following error:

i686-apple-darwin10-llvm-gcc-4.2: 7/pysox/combiner.so: No such file or directory
i686-apple-darwin10-llvm-gcc-4.2: 2.7/pysox/combiner.o: No such file
or directory
i686-apple-darwin10-llvm-gcc-4.2: 7/pysox/combiner.so: No such file or directory

Doing setup.py build after that returns a whole lot of gcc errors, so
I am guessing I need to fix this problem first.

Florian
