strange things when I start and end emacs with emacspeak

Hi. So, I have compiled emacs from the 26.1 tarball on Osx 13.6 and
am using emacspeak with it. It works quite well, but I have a few
questions.

When I start emacs, I get a message about variables being unsafe and
am asked to hit y or others or ! to make them safe. Can someone tell
me what this is about?

Also, when emacs ends it says active process exist, kill anyway -- I
guess referring to the speaker process. Is there a way to customize
something where it will kill the process automatically?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

How do
you spend it?
