it's still beta because the install isn't smooth as well as having
some problems like the stopping one that i can't see an immediate
solution to.

although the rpm probably installs fine.

i use debian so haven't tried it.

I would upgrade if i was you,

I don't think any of the mbrola-server versions have really left the
beta stage.

some may say (and i may not argue) that they never left alpha.
