Laptops and emacspeak

I want to buy a laptop on which I can install linux
and emacspeak.
I can use my dectalk express as the synthesizer,
unless there is a different preferred way for laptops.
I understand that there are some subtleties about laptops and linux,
and consequently some possible subtleties about laptops
and emacspeak.
Is anyone willing to recommend a laptop to me?
