Squealing Dectalk Express

I'm copying the emacspeak list so it gets archived.
The problem you mention below is due to remaining bugs in the Dectalk
firmware.
When emacspeak produces tones --does this especially when split caps is on,
the dtk sometime goes into squealing mode.
If you notice this happening in particular text documents, just turn off split
caps mode locally.
Typically I turn off split caps before reading news mail etc --split caps is
really useful when reading program source code, or when proofing things where
you are really concerned about case.
