Sorry for the late reply, I've been away for a bit.

I use notmuch with offlineimap.

The indexing works very well for me.

I've hacked up some emacspeak support.  I'll attach it but please note
that it isn't really ready for inclusion in emacspeak.  The code is
verbose and in some places repedative.  If there is interest I could
clean things up a bit and submit it to Raman.

It works for me.  The voiceification needs work.
