Emacspeak with espeak

Hello!

First of all, I'm curious to know why the available servers for
emacspeak is not compiled and installed with the distributions that
maintain the emacspeak packages. Is there a special reason for that?

Next, I tried to compile the espeak server on a Fedora 10 system. I
went into /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/linux-espeak,
and did 'make'. I get the following error:

libtool --mode=compile g++ -O2 -I/usr/include/espeak -fPIC  -DPIC
-pedantic -ans
i -Wall -c tclespeak.cpp
mkdir .libs
 g++ -O2 -I/usr/include/espeak -fPIC -DPIC -pedantic -ansi -Wall -c
 tclespeak.cp
p  -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/tclespeak.o
tclespeak.cpp: In function 'void initLanguage(Tcl_Interp*)':
tclespeak.cpp:559: warning: deprecated conversion from string constant
to 'char*
'
tclespeak.cpp:596: error: invalid conversion from 'const char*' to
'char*'
make: *** [tclespeak.lo] Error 1
[root@xxxxxxxxxxx linux-espeak]#

If I try make -f makefile.tcl83, I get:

libtool --mode=compile g++ -O2 -I/usr/include/espeak -fPIC  -DPIC
-pedantic -ans
i -Wall -I/usr/include/tcl8.3 -c tclespeak.cpp
 g++ -O2 -I/usr/include/espeak -fPIC -DPIC -pedantic -ansi -Wall
