Compiling emacspeak under Ubuntu 9.04 with espeak

Many people, including myself, find the Voxin synthesiser

very good, and I prefer it to espeak.  It's a variant of IBM via
voice, and it isn't free, but very cheap, $5 - $6 /US.  Compiling the
server isn't straightforward either, but I believe there may be a
script on the site to help with this.
