G-client - How to Use?

I've got a recent version of emacspeak (post 32) and see that there is
a directory in the lisp directory called g-client.  I've seen mentions
of it in the past and the rich Google tools in there like the calendar
and such.  Can anyone give me a clue how to use them?  I tried to run
gcal strait away from the m-x command but got a "symbol is void" error
so I probably don't have something set up right.

Any ideas?
