I think there was a relevant discussion on this list some time ago, but I don't believe I ever got a definite answer to my issue. Basically, I installed Emacs 24.5.1 using Homebrew, configured it with Cocoa support, linked the aliases, set up Emacspeak, etc. However, when I launch Emacs from the "applications" folder, Emacspeak never comes up. If I launch Emacs from the command prompt, like so "open /applications/emacs.app", Emacspeak comes up talking and everything works fine. Any advice for me on how to fix this? Thanks, Vic
