       I would get Mandrake 7.2.  Install Emacs from there, then go get emacspeak.rpm and install it.  Then the two (only one is really needed I think) ViaVoice packages.  I believe if you then start up with an "emacspeak -o" you should be up and running.  That is what I did anyway.  No I am trying to learn lisp for customizing my .emacs file.
