  Well, this is shaping up into an interesting project.  Sorry if I was a bit 
cursory in the reading of the original post, I missed the fact he already had 
the port. I'll be more conscientious in the future.
 A word on VMware, be sure you have a beefy machine. I recently tried it out 
and it was workable, but slow. I would be surprised if it can handle the 
speech synthesis very well without one.  I'm currently looking at win4lin, 
but I haven't gotten it to work yet and have no idea if it is any faster 
overall.  Onward through the fog mates!
