Hi.
If you are using flite as your synth all you need is eflite and flite and
emacspeak to get speech going. You do not need speech-dispatcher unless you
plan to use other synthes with emacspeak.
As far as oss vs alsa and flite goes I didn't notice it making much of a
difference as far as sound goes. The only thing was that flite needs to be
compiled with oss in order to get it to build.
