building and installing under $HOME




1) Running out of $HOME or wherever else works fine, Emacspeak
   was designed at the time users did not have root previleges.
Incidentally I run the CVS version of emacspeak out of
   ~/emacs/lisp/emacspeak and have always done so.

Re: your question about info:
You can always open an info file by typing C-u C-h i and then
specifying the location.

Note that if you do install in a non-standard location, things
like the emacspeak.sh shell script etc may not work as you expect.
