Bug with latest svn and comint mode

I'm running the latest svn of Emacspeak, and think I've found a bug.
When a comint buffer gets past comint-buffer-maximum-size lines, Emacspeak isn't reading output correctly. To reproduce this,
I did:
seq 1 10000
and pressed C-e s to stop speech. then if I type anything, such as id, and hit enter,
it doesn't read the beginning of the string.
