Just a quick update regarding the identica-mode work that I posted to the list some time ago, accompanied by an unfulfilled promise of a more complete implementation. I subsequently developed a version that works reasonably well in daily use, but it has a few bugs and limitations which I need to spend more time trying to resolve, which explains why it hasn't been posted.
