the servers will co-exist peacefully.

On switching servers RTFM --

dtk-select-server is an interactive compiled Lisp function in `dtk-speak'.
(dtk-select-server PROGRAM)

Select a speech server interactively.
This will be the server that is used when you next call either
M-x dtk-initialize or C-e C-s.
