Lost emacspeak from my info tree

I am using debian.  I downloaded the rpm package of emacspeak-14.0, used
alien to make a debian package and replaced my old version with it.  Now I
can't access any info for emacspeak either inside or outside of emacspeak;
I could before.  What have I done and/or what should I do?!
