Re: Where can I get festival lite?

Hi, I don't usually try to build my own packages nor compile things
from source. I don't have a good track record with that kind of thing
and just have to remove the additional files from my file system. The
emacs that's on here was installed from an RPM package. I don't know
anything about that ./configure and make stuff. I only understand the
concept of writing a program and/or package, compiling up all the
elements and packaging it such that it runs on this system, then
praying that it will run on others. It usually does because all that
stuff's OS-specific and it runs great.

I don't know how you guys do all this compilation from sources and get
packages to work properly. I usually avoid that like the plague
because of not knowing anything about the system the program started
out on. Usually they have some things I don't or don't have some
things I do and those configure scripts and things are too limited to
make the compilations work properly on this system. I usually use
RPMs.

What I do have on here is this. I have both an emacs-x11 installed on
here. and an emacs-nox. How do I find out which one of these is
running and correct the problem with some kind of configuration change
in the emacs customization section? I do know that, if I could do
this, I could get this Xfree86 stuff off here.

Thanks for your help.
