Regretably, there are not yet any FOS tools for DAISY authoring, though one might manage to cobble something together fairly easily with emacs' PSGML
mode and perhaps Docbook.

Please note that the DAISY Consortium itself is only now recognizing the importance of FOS to its future, and the future of its standards. Briefly,
DAISY 1.0 was fully proprietary, and DAISY 2.x was open file specs. DAISY 3, the DAISY implementation of the recently approved ANSI Z39.86-2002, will
have FOS tools, but they haven't been authored yet.

Meanwhile, if you'd like some content, send me a snail mail address and I'll send you a CD ROM with four books and two Windows players.
