When you think of Emacspeak as one of the four major user interfaces,
then Emacspeak makes more sense.

The four major user interfaces are shell, graphic user interface,
Emacs, and Emacspeak.

You are right, most employ Emacspeak in a shell or graphic user
interface, but working for Emacspeak alone has considerable benefit.

Even if you work differently, please do not discourage Pierre -- for
one, I want an Emacspeak that works well with texts written in French,
German, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese. Then when the time comes, I
can learn a little more of each without needing a different
integrating environment.
