copy&paste on latin-2 characters into iso-latin-2-unix buffer

hallo Group Members.

I have a buffer which is iso-latin-2-unix coded one.
Then I copy&paste some characters from the HTML page, which do not
conform to iso-latin-2-unix and then try to save the buffer.

I get error:
Saving file /tmp/document.txt...
apply: Wrong type argument: number-or-marker-p, nil

When emacspeak (version 29 of course) is not enabled, emacs instead
jumps to first nonconforming character so that I know chich one is bad
and additionally allows me to change coding of the buffer. I remember
that emacs 22 did the same even when emacspeak was enabled.

GNU Emacs 23.0.92.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.12) of 2009-04-14 on localhost.localdomain

Best regards,
Michal
