Re: Emacspeak and abbrevs

The following message is a courtesy copy of an article
that has been posted to gmane.emacs.emacspeak.general as well.

Abbrev expansion is handled by emacs (builtin abbrevs as documented in
the emacs manual). For this particular package you'll likely need to
advice its completion function.

Also, if posting to this newsgroup, make sure to copy
emacspeak@xxxxxxxxxxx -- from what I can tell the gatewaying appears
to work only in one direction.

Subject: Emacspeak and abbrevs

Hi,
I just wanted to try the package sotlisp and its
"speed-of-thought-mode", which defines various abbrevs like "wcb"
for "with-current-buffer".
It works but Emacspeak doesn't provide any feedback. I searched
whole manual for "abbrev", but found only one occurrence. Because
of that I suspect that abbrev expansion is not handled by
Emacspeak Is this true?
Thanks
