CS Department Policy: Adding Courses

Frequently more students want to enroll in a CS course than can be accommodated. To be fair and consistent about which students are added, the CS department has adopted the following policy:

Priority will be given, in order, to:

1. Declared CS majors,
2. Declared CS correlates,
3. Those who are registered for fewer CS courses,
4. More senior students, and, finally,
5. Random lottery.

If you believe an exception needs to be made to this policy (for instance, you cannot graduate if you do not get into a particular class), you can appeal to the CS department chair.
